省略可能な前置詞について

日本語訳では省略されている部分の、three weeks from now  は、前につく前置詞が省略されていますか？

字幕通りの英文を翻訳してもらうと、「今から三週間で」となります。

day の前の on などはよく省略されるようですが、期間を表す in も省略があるのでしょうか？

the  fish 7 centimeters long （ the  7 centimeter fish ）と同じ形なんですね。

前置詞は省略されていません。次の二文はよく似た意味です。

We will see the election results three weeks from now.
We will see the election results in three weeks.

何が違うかというと、前者はきっちり３週間後なのに対し、後者は３週間のうちにというニュアンスです。後者のように、未来の期間を表す in や within が省略されることはありません。おっしゃる通り、day の前の on は、よく省略されますね。
