上の2文は両法とも、このお寺は1245年に創建されたと言われている、と訳していいのでしょうか。下の英文の方が時制的に正しい様に思います。

This temple is said to have been founded in 1245.
= They say that this temple has been founded in 1245.

be found in 1245 = 1245年に建立される、というその時（1245年）限定のアクションは継続できないので、単純過去形が適正です。

in 1245 がないのであれば、建立されて今も現存する、という意味で This temple has been founded at this location. などと言うことはできます。
