【教えて下さい】「運命の分かれ道」の英訳

これは、ただ、何か１億円を超えると（開示が）出てきて、下回ると出てこないということで、何か運命の分かれ道みたいになって、どうも、これも当初の政策意図からはずれて、何か副作用のようなものが生じないか、というような感想を私は持っているのですけれども、これについてはどうでしょうか。
