この文章は文法的にあってますか？

therefore の前のコンマが間違いということを言われていますか。２つの節の間にある関係副詞の前には semicolon (;)、もしくは period で２節を２文に分ける必要があります。

A is B; therefore, C is D.

もしくは、

A is B. Therefore, C is D.

もしくは

A is B. C is, therefore, D.

下は間違い。

A is B, therefore, C is D.

私はそれよりも、therefore の意味合い (for that reason) から、ご質問の文は不自然に感じました。がんばったら誰でも必ず優秀なプロになれるわけではない分野だからです。コンクールで100位くらいかも知れません。それでもすごい。学校の音楽の先生になるかも知れません。それはそれで良い仕事です。同じように「one of the leading pianists」は、がんばった結果の一つと捉えるのが自然です。なので「as a result」をお勧めします。

質問者なのですが、thereforeは接続副詞だからこの使い方はできないとおっしゃってる人がいるのですがどうなんでしょう？

becoming a pianist のために has dedicated her life なら、それを達成した今、死ぬのかというと、そうではないですよね。つまり dedicate しているのは別のものです。例えば、piano performance ピアノ演奏、piano music ピアノ音楽です。また、今もまだ dedicate her life し続けているはずです。現在形が良いです。

therefore は論理的な結果を導きます。しかし実際には、一生懸命ピアノを練習してきた人すべてが one of the leading pianists になるわけではないので、therefore は不自然です。

She dedicates her life to piano performance. Therefore, she cannot stop thinking about the piano even when she is hospitalized.
