If it be ever so humble, there is no place like home.

This is not a piece of advice to you I'm talking to myself for my practice of writing skills.
what we called 'subjunctive' are often called Unreal Conditional Sentences.
now we'd call 5 conditionals involving it 'conditional sentences'. it'd be a little difficult to grasp all instantly, because of its 4 conditional and combinations of the tense.
I'd introduce comprehensible text-book of conditionals.

Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home! I've come to like the word 'humble' after listening this song. I had had an image about it poor/dirty/stingy/bad image before, but now I'd feel bright the word 'humble' due to the image being clean/calm confidence.

thank you for your teaching.
the sentence had been a part of the famous song ' Home, Sweet Home', hadn't it? I've searched on the web and I've noticed it at first.
:Home, Sweet Home
Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam
Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home!
A charm from the skies seems to hallow us there
Which seek thro' the world, is ne'er met elsewhere.
Home! Home! Sweet, sweet home!
There's no place like home
There's no place like home!
:Home, Sweet Home.

If it (should) be ever so humble, there is no place like home.

Be it ever so humble, there is no place like home.

be it ever so ~ 「どんなに~でも、」の形では、

If I were a bird, I could fly to you.

Were I a bird, I could fly to you.

If it (should) be ever so humble, there is no place like home.
Let it be ever so humble, there is no place like home.

please refer to the site. I suppose to try to get the meaning would be useful for your learning more than getting the answer instantly.
