gameは名詞です。

wantとplayは動詞。

この場合には、want toは「したい」と言う意味です。

I want the game. = そのゲームが欲しい。
I play the game. = ゲームをプレイします。（又は「しています」）
I want to play the game. = ゲームをプレイしたい。
