作文などの時は I'd / I'll などの省略は、ズボラな印象が出るので、控えるほうがいいと思います。

また、will という助動詞は、絶対にそうなる、というニュアンスがありますので、
they’ll not be able to produce good works
というと、もしアーティストが芸術を社会の役に立つために使えば、そのアーティストは絶対にいい作品を作れない、と言っていることになるので、そうなるかもしれないという意味の may や might にするようがいいかもしれません。また、good works の good は主観的な意味で誰かにとって「よい」ものという意味なので、ここはご自分の主張にあうより適切なことば（実利を前提にした芸術では、アーティストの何が損なわれると考えていらっしゃるか）に変えたほうがいいと思います。

many - たくさんの、とは言っていない
standing on outside ではなく stand outside
that's fine with that - ここでは fine というよりも「（よそものでも）いいことはある」という感じ
however - 続くことが反意ではないので、however はおかしい。前述から続いて「わたくしなどは、じゃあよそ者の立場を自覚してもし自分が土地のものだったら」と言っている
what this town would look like - 実際に何かが見えるというより、印象としての見えるなので、how this town would look
instead of - ～の代わりに、ということではなく、「～というよりも」なので rather than
