比較級の表現法

エジプトのピラミッドに関するリーディング問題文中に

King's main official conceived of building a taller, more impressive tomb for his king,

という文章が出てきました。
building a taller という語順に違和感を感じてます。その部分は 「the＋比較級、the＋比較級」の用法で「高いほど、より印象的な墓になると思い描いた」と解釈したのですが、より解釈を深めたいと思ってます。
語順も含めて教えていただきたいです。

There are tombs.

I want to build a taller tomb than these tombs.

この「build a taller…」の語順は正しいです。

He wanted to build a taller tomb for his king.

比較の対象は自明なので省略されています。先の文を読んでみないと分かりませんが、例えば、「…than the other kings’ tombs」が省略されています。

He conceived of building a taller tomb for his king.

He conceived of building a taller and more impressive tomb for his king.

ここでも「building a taller…」という語順は正しいです。

ひょっとして、「and」代わりにコンマだから困惑されましたか。「the＋比較級、the＋比較級」の形ではありません。

I got a bigger and heavier phone than my old phone.

I got a bigger and heavier phone.

I got a bigger, heavier phone.

同じ意味です。
