I can't be bothered. というと、そんなことにかまってられないよ、どうでもいいよ、と断言していることになります。

I canNOT と言い切るまではいかないけど、I'm NOT sure (if) I can be bothered. といえば、そんなことにかまってられるかわかんない、そんなこといちいちやってられる「かなぁ」と言いながら、断言を避けていますが、実は「やってられない」っていうことをやんわり言っていると思います。
