Edna St.Vincent Millayの詩でRenascenceと言う作品の冒頭部です。

All I could see from where I stood 
Was three long mountains and a wood; 
I turned and looked another way, 
And saw three islands in a bay. 
So with my eyes I traced the line 
Of the horizon, thin and fine, 
Straight around till I was come 
Back to where I'd started from; 
And all I saw from where I stood 
Was three long mountains and a wood.

七行目にI was come とあります。一見受動態のようですが、あり得ないと思います。一体文法的にどのようなカラクリなのでしょうか？

It appears that in the past, some verbs simply used be as an auxiliary verb, that nowadays take have.
The usage of the tense has not changed in your examples.
Spring is come -> Spring has come. (present perfect, both times)
I was come -> I had come. (past perfect, both times)
