have be は誤りとのことで，詳細かつ丁寧な説明により，頭の中の混乱がおさまりました。それにしても，出版の質の低下には落胆しました。

have be は誤りです。確かにこんなに件数が多いと、正しいのではないかと思ってしまいますが、have to be もしくは have been の間違いです。ネイティブにもいろんな知識レベルの人がいて、間違いは日常的によくあることです。私も間違えます。特に言語に関する質問に対しては、その人が自分の言語（国語）をどのくらい深く学習したかによって、回答が変わってきます。それは日本人すべてが、日本語の文法に同じように精通していて、外国人の質問に同じように答えられるのではないのと同じです。

とはいえ、よくお調べになりましたね。感服いたします。長くなりますが、間違いを明確にしておきたいです。

この場合のhave beは，どうやら，ネイティブには自然な英語のようです。別のサイトのでネイティブから回答を得られる所があったので，聞いてみました。手持ちの文法書や辞書には記載が見つかりませんでしたが，現代的語法の可能性もあります。

ご確認ありがとうございます。この本，かなり有名な本で名著だと思うのですが，こんなものなのでしょうか。出版の質が落ちているようで残念です。

今私もネット上で確認しました。確かに十語も行かないうちにミスがあるのは珍しいですね。
自分の回答に少し不安になって文脈を確認したわけですが、文脈から判断してもやはりミスでしょう。
まったく校正をした人は何をやってたんだ。

まさか，本の最初のページの１行目に印刷ミスがあるとは思えませんでしたので，ずいぶん悩んでしまいました。

単に印刷ミスだと思いますよ。出版物にもミスはときどきありますから。
元はもちろん have to be でしょう。have to be の to を省略できるとは聞きません。
