heat and motion deep within....の英文解釈ができません

三重大学の問題で

Heat and motion deep within the earth cause to the planets to move.
という文があったのですが、"heat"と”motion"は名詞なのに、どうして後ろに形容詞である"deep"があるのでしょうか？

私は地学とかさっぱりわからないのですが、この英文を読むと、

Heat and motion {(which are) deep within the earth} cause the planets to move.
と言っているのかな、と思います。

動詞の cause は他動詞なので、"cause to the planets" の to は不要か誤植だと思います。（←でも試験の問題でもし誤植だったとしたら問題ですね。）
