筆者は冒頭に、食後のランニングに触れています。その「running」(走ること) と「running away」(逃げること) を掛けて、言葉遊び (word play) をしています。

悪い食事習慣から逃れることはない、つまり、逃れられない、という意味です。

それにしても、「a bad diet から逃れる」というのは変ですね。私だったら、「consequences of a bad diet から逃れる」と書きます。

There is no running away from the consequences of a bad diet.

言葉遊びをしないのなら、こんな表現も出来ます。

A bad diet will affect your health in spite of your regular exercise.

You will suffer the consequences of a bad diet even if you regularly exercise.
