whileとwhen
彼女がフランスに滞在中に描いた絵はみんなに称賛された。
訳）The picture that she painted while she was staying in France was admired by everybody.この訳のwhileをwhenにしてもいいと思うんですけど、どうでしょうか？
あとwhileの文は進行形にしなければなりませんが続く文が受け身の場合while being 動詞ed という風にになりますか？
彼がけがをしている間、私が試合に出た。
訳) I was in the game while he was being injured.

(1) during the time that…
when…
(1) at the time that…
(2) during the time that… (= while)
while に続く文が受動態の場合、while being 過去分詞になります。
しかし、次の文は間違いです。
誤
I was in the game while he was being injured.
これだと、まだ彼は傷つけられている最中になってしまいます。その怪我を引き起こす出来事が、進行中ということです。
正
I was in the game while he was being treated for injury.
正
I was in the game while his injury was being treated.
