After a wave of outraged responses, he issued a rejoinder: “Ahh I feel better, and flushed out some prissy boys who were raised to pee sitting down. Now I’ll delete.”

上記は、The Economistのある記事の第一パラグラフですが、この中の so shot themselves in the wallet. “What is this like night 4 of looting with 100% impunity. の意味が分かりません。教えていただけますでしょうか。

まったく、何もお咎めがない略奪行為がこれで何夜目だ？４だっけ？市長と州知事の腰抜め。
あいつらの略奪への対応を見れば、中小企業のことなんか屁とも思っていないのは明らかだ。
くらいの意味です。night 4 は、Day 4 (４日目) などと同様に考えて、４夜目という意味です。
shot themselves in the wallet については、Cali girl さんの shot themselves in the foot のもじり、
という意見に賛成です。ただ、shot themselves in the wallet の主語は、略奪している人たちではなく、
１つ目の投稿のような発言をした人たちです。and so で「そして」「結果として」くらいの意味です。
shot themselves in the foot で「自らに災いを招くような言動をした」という意味になるので、
Some ~ wallet. は、
一部の人は、ジョージ = フロイド氏の殺害に関して、失礼で、読む人にとって屈辱的な発言をし、
結果自らに災いを招いた。
という意味です。
記事の続きを読むと、投稿者の失礼な発言のせいで、彼の創業した Fulltone が経済的な損失を被った
ことがわかるので、災いの経済的な面を強調するために foot を wallet に変えたものと思われます。

shoot yourself in the foot 気づかないで状況を悪化させるという意味なので
ここでfootの代わりにwallet になってるので経済を悪化させるという感じになるんじゃないかなーって思ってます。
次の文で市長や政府の人間は小さいビジネスのことなんかどうでもいいと思ってると言っているので、こうゆう盗みとかで怒りを表すのは逆に自分たちにとってマイナスになるという感じなんじゃないかなー？
