《In active-voice sentence 'His wife accompanied him'.
However, the translation of 'His wife accompanied him' is incorrect》.
these sentences are in the definition of the word 'accompany 1 a' in the weblio dictionry. the meaning of this sentence is that English sentence in acive voice is grammartically correct but the translation sentence of Japanese is wrong? because the substancial subject of action must be male, not female? or usually the English sentence of active-voice wouldn't be used like this? please teach me.

This is not a piece of advice to you I'm talking to myself for my practice of writing skills.
I've not yet grasped the definition of the word 'accompany' on the weblio dictionary. at this time I suppose it as that the transitive verb 'accompany' mightn't be used as a verb by the substantial subject of positive action in the active-voice-sentence in some cases. I'd continue to search the clue.
