Thousands of refugees got across the border to the neighboring country.
訳： 何千人もの難民が国境を越えて隣国に入った。

となっている文を見つけたのですが、"get across"の用法の中で"get across O to"が見当たりませんでした。
この文で使われている"get across the border to・・・"の用法や表現を知っているかた教えていただきたいです。
