This is not a piece of advice to you I'm talking to myself for my practice of writing skills. I've found the exact same sentence on the web. I suppose several words are spared after the sentence.
I suppose various interpretations are possible, When you get down to it, I suppose there's no body or lid.

また、日本語でも英語でも、話し言葉は、必ずしも文法的に正しく話されているとは限りません。例えば、あることを話し始めて、途中で言いたいことが少し変わったために、その時点の前と後では、つながりがなくなってしまうことがあります。実際の会話ではそうなっても、相手が伝えようとしていることは、その状況から大抵、分かるものです。
