I suppose one of the method of making English brain would be to use monolingual dictionary(MD). MD is difficult for me to use by itself, but It's necessary for me to exclude mother tongue(MT). I haven't other choice but to use it. In using bilingual dictionary(BD) MT would invade my brain every time I use it. It's impossible to exclude MT using BD, it'd only possible with using MD to make English brain. there would be a merit for using MD. It would be possible to expand my vocabulary because of the need to refer other unknown words in the definition on the dictionary e.g in example sentence, in synonyms. but it'd exercise caution in order not to get caught in an infinite loop. you could select a way to stop referring to words somewhere in the loop. I confess with shame I've been helped by Google Translation in using monolingual dictionary.
