Would you ever live permanently in a country with a different culture to your own?
---I would like to try to live permanently in a different country though, I'm scared because I'd studied abroad in England for a year, then I had been struggling with many types of things. It's daily essentials, language, food, and friends. When I started living there, I realised that I can't speak and listen English anything. Even though I came here to learn English, I was so frustrated with not understanding what people said. 6 or 7 months later, I got used to living, but I never got used to using English all the time there. I didn't expect that learning other languages would be so difficult and consuming a lot of time. However, I would love to meet new people and get experiences I can not experience in Japan. I love foreign cityscapes so much. If I have the opportunity to live in other countries, I will try it.

この問いの難しいところは、permanently と尋ねているところです。「そんなの実際に住んでみるまで分かるもんか」と言いたいです。How do you know that you want to live in another country permanently if you have not actually lived there before and learned the culture already? It would be a very hard decision. It would be like marrying someone you do not know. きっぱり No と答えるか、永住はどうかは分からないが、機会があれば住んでみたいというくらいしか答えられないように思います。

I would like to consider living permanently in another country, but I am afraid. I had studied in England for one year, and I had struggled with a variety of things. They were about daily essentials, the language, food, and friends. When I started living there, I realised that I could not speak or understand English very well. Even though I went there to learn English, I was so frustrated about not being able to understand what people were saying. Six or seven months later, I got used to living there, but I did not get used to using English all the time. I did not expect that learning another language would be so difficult and time-consuming. However, I would love to meet new people and experience things that I cannot find in Japan. I also love foreign cityscapes very much. If there is an opportunity, I will try living in another country.
