all of と any of の違いについて

否定文で、

He does not accept any of the proposals.

なら、「どの提案も受け入れない」と言う意味です。「not any」と覚えてください。

それに対して、

He does not accept all of the proposals.

というと、「すべての提案は受け入れない」という意味です。言い方を変えれば、「いくつかの提案は受け入れるが、全部は無理」ということです。「not all」と覚えてください。

上は否定文の例を使いましたが、「refuse to accept」でも同じです。

ちなみに two proposals だったら、

He does not accept either of the two proposals.
どちらも受け入れない「not either」と覚えてください。

He does not accept both of the two proposals.
両方は受け入れない。「not both」と覚えてください。
