made from milk, made with milk 違い

ワークでも、this の設定が明確ではなかったのですが、ホットケーキの例でよくわかりました。材料の一部の場合には、withっていうことですね。

ヨーグルトにせよ、ワインにせよ、それぞれ、牛乳、ぶどう、から作られますね。牛乳→ヨーグルト、ぶどう→ワイン。fromでよさそうですよね。

一方、牛乳→ホットケーキ　はイメージできません。牛乳は、材料の一つにすぎません。made with の方が良さげですが、いかがでしょうか？

Thisが何を指しているかによって、変わる可能性はあるかもしれませんね。

ホットケーキだと、
Pancakes are made from〜 （×）
Pancakes are made with〜 （◯）
ヨーグルトだと、
Yogurts are made from〜 （◯）
Yogurts are made with〜 （◯）

辞書からの引用ですが、

We often use made from when we talk about how something is manufactured.

(2) Made of
We use made of when we talk about the basic material or qualities of something. It has a meaning similar to ‘composed of’.

(3) Made with
We use made with most often to talk about the ingredients of food and drink.
