どうしてat which なのか

こんにちは。

Can you image the speed ( ) the Earth gose around the Sun? のカッコに何が入るか？という問題で、なぜ at which になるか、という疑問ですね。
（惑星としての the Earth と the Sun は、常に the がついて先頭が大文字になります。）

この疑問文は、２つの節（文の中にある主語と動詞の組み合わせ）があります。

最初の質問で、the speed と言っているそのスピードって何？っていうことの説明が、２つ目の文です。スピードについては、前置詞は at を使います。
両方の文を、そのスピードがいかほどなものか、ということを関係詞にしてつないでいるわけです。
