と出てきましたが、イマイチ違いが分かりません。
inhibition は個々人の気持ちとしてやってはいけないという思いのことで、constraint は誰かが誰かに与えたやってはいけない決まりごとというような認識なのですが合っていますでしょうか？
例文下に載せておきます。

Thousands of years ago, our forebears' instincts of subservience to a leader aided their survival because it was easier to find the basic necessities of life, prosper, and multiply when someone else was in charge. However, in order to solve problems by themselves, people needed to suppress these instincts and break free from their social constraints. One way to do this was drinking alcohol, which lowers inhibitions so people could feel free to speak their minds.

constraint（形容詞）constrain（動詞）は、何かを内側に向かって閉じ込めるような感じで押さえつけるイメージの制約です。よく使われるのは time-constraint（時間的制約＝所定時間内にやらないといけないなど）という表現です。
