という関係代名詞で繋がれた節が入っていて、その節で言っていることについて「あなたが思うyou think」を更に挿入して、関係代名詞や節の主語（重複している）を省略すると
mark words (that) [you think] (they) are important or difficult.
となります。

この you think / I think の挿入はよく使われます。
