Interlocking plastic toys and simple items like plastic dishes and empty boxes are not only cheap and amusing for young children to play with but also educational.
(1) Lego などの謂わゆるおもちゃの「ブロック」でしたら、いろんな言い方があります。plastic toy bricks とか construction toys とかでもいいでしょう。
(2) 比較級で書かれていましたが、注意しないといけないのは、何と比べているかが読み手に伝わらないといけないということです。読み手がすでにそれを分かっているのであれば、than 以降を省略できます。そうでなければ、than... を付け加えて、何と比較しているか明確にします。もしくは比較級にしないことをお勧めします。
(3) for young children to play with の with が欠けていました。
