私は何の意識もせずに It is important ときたら続くのは for you だと思ったのですが、下記例文では to you になっています。

I've searched about preposition suited after the word 'important' on the web but I couldn't find decisive explanation. then I searched it on the dictionary (weblio/Collins).
:Collins dictionary.
(when postpositive, usually followed by to) specially relevant or of great concern (to); valued highly (by) your wishes are important to me.
:weblio dictionary. two sentences are there.
The matter is important to us. (important directly to you)
It's important for you to do that. (important indirectly for your doing something,)
I couldn't grasp the difference so inside of ( ) are my guess.
