comprise について

１つ目の comprise には三人称単数の s を付けます。

The set which comprises up to five pieces

The set which is comprised of up to five pieces

この２つはどちらも同じ意味です。

たぶんご存じだからこういう質問をなさっているのだと思いますが、comprise には、

（全体が部分から）成る

という意味と、

（部分が集まって全体を）構成する

という、正反対の二つの意味があります。そして後者の場合、大抵は、

be comprised of

の受動態で使われます。なので、ご質問の２つは同じことです。次の５つの文は同じです。

A baseball team comprises nine players.

A baseball team is comprised of nine players.

A baseball team is made up of nine players.

A baseball team is composed of nine players.

A baseball team is constituted by nine players.

Nine players を主語にするのなら、comprise はお勧めしません。間違いではないですが、よく他の単語を使います。

Nine players make up a baseball team.

Nine players compose a baseball team.

Nine players constitute a baseball team.
